Student Employment
Begin Your On-Campus Job Search
Many graduate students at Georgetown work a part-time, on-campus job to help offset the costs of their studies. To start, visit Student Employment. Once you set your permanent password for your NetID, you can log in through the Student Employment website to browse available jobs. You cannot apply to on-campus positions until you begin your first day of classes, but you are available to browse the website to see which jobs are available.
Graduate Assistantships
There may also be opportunities for MS-ESM students to help finance their studies with a graduate assistantship in which they work directly with a faculty member. Check the student employment website for available graduate assistantships. You would be eligible to apply for these positions after you matriculate into the MS-ESM program.
Note: graduate assistantships are created at the discretion of faculty and in accordance with the budgetary process, and may or may not be available based on faculty needs.
International students who are offered positions must obtain a Social Security Number; the Office of Global Services will be available to guide students through this process.
