Total Cost of Attendance
The ESM program tuition fee for the 2026-2027 academic year is $79,950.* Tuition fees exclude individual healthcare or health insurance premiums, books and supplies, student fees, room and board, visas, and incidental expenses.
*Based on 30 required credits at a rate of $2,665 per credit

U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens who borrow U.S. Federal Loans will be charged a $1,600 loan origination fee.

The Master’s in Environment and Sustainability Management (ESM) Faculty Scholars Program is a selective scholarship and mentorship opportunity for outstanding applicants to Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and the Earth Commons Institute.
Selected scholars receive a partial tuition scholarship and participate in a structured, group-based mentorship experience with a faculty member associated with the ESM program. The program is designed to foster meaningful faculty relationships, enrich the graduate experience, and provide guidance that supports scholars’ professional development and long-term career success.

This scholarship is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional intellectual achievement, ambition, and a dedication to making a meaningful environmental impact through innovation and/or an entrepreneurial mindset.
In line with Georgetown’s commitment to service, this scholarship supports students who exemplify the Jesuit value of service by dedicating themselves to using their education to improve the lives of others through meaningful contributions to underserved communities as well as to advocate for policies that promote environmental justice. This scholarship is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated a strong commitment to community impact, social responsibility, and uplifting those in need through their professional and personal endeavors as well as possess the ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the ESM cohort community and the greater Georgetown community.
In support of Georgetown University’s decision to offer professional development opportunities to current and former federal civil employees and federal contractors, we will consider currently employed or recently separated federal civil government employees for up to a 10% merit-based scholarship award for the fall 2026 intake.
