Health Insurance

Georgetown University requires that you be fully covered, while enrolled in the MS-ESM program as an eligible student The following information provides you with an overview of the program structure. Please visit the Student Health Insurance Site  for the most up-to-date information about coverage dates, cost, and waivers.

Students who are eligible for insurance in the fall are automatically charged for the Premier Plan . Students who already have coverage that meets the University’s requirements  may waive the Premier Plan by supplying documentation of required insurance coverage. In order to make an informed decision, please review the Checklist for Health Insurance Coverage  before waiving the Premier Plan.

Incoming MS-ESM students who meet the Premier Plan eligibility requirements will receive a fall charge on their student account. Open Enrollment and waiver instructions will be emailed to your Georgetown email address when the insurance charges post to your student account in the summer. Coverage for spouses and children is also available.

Vaccinations and Immunizations

Mandatory immunizations and health screenings are based on District of Columbia Law as well as guidance from the CDC and the American College Health Association. Please see the requirements for vaccination or proof of immunity on the Georgetown Student Health Services website.

Incoming students must enter immunization and TB screening information, as well as submit required health documentation, through the Georgetown University and Health Information Database Portal.
