Rylinn graduated with two bachelor’s degrees, one in Biology and one in Environmental Studies. Her research on oysters and plastics impact upon them was published in the Journal of Experimental Marine Biology and Ecology in 2021. Upon graduating, she began sharing her knowledge of the environment with others, firstly at the National Park Service partnerships office, then in various formal and informal educational settings. Rylinn spent the last five years as a classroom teacher in independent schools, teaching grades 1 through 8 about various science topics. Personally, Rylinn loves exploring nature and volunteers with the Humane Rescue Alliance as a cat case manager.
