Lucia was born in Uruguay, where she obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemical engineering. She has 9 years of work experience at Tenaris, a multinational steel pipe manufacturer for the oil & gas industry, where she has specialized in offshore line pipe tenders. In 2017 the company transferred her to Houston permanently and, in her role as Business Coordination Manager, she has led a team dedicated to handling bid proposals and contracts for multimillion-dollar international projects and has had numerous international experiences. Lucia is dedicated, proactive, analytical, a problem solver and has extensive practice in training and working with interdisciplinary and multicultural teams.
She is passionate about finding ways to tackle climate change and reducing the environmental impact of human activities, which is why she has chosen the MS-ESM program to transfer her skills and work experience into an environmental and sustainability career. In her free time, she likes to write, read, and go dancing.
