Josephine is originally from Alaska and was raised with a deep respect for the land around her. Her dedication to the natural environment stems from having spent many years exploring unique habitats and witnessing their degradation first-hand. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Environmental Management Systems and moved to Washington D.C. to pursue her career in environmental policy. Before joining the MS-ESM program, she served as a Research & Policy Analyst in a consulting firm that focuses on sustainable agriculture. Her expertise is based in reducing the impacts that working lands have on natural resources and surrounding wildlife. Her passion lies in finding ways that society can sustainably interact with the ecosystems around it.
