Jaimeer Kaur

Jaimeer graduated in Polymer Science and Technology and has pursued roles for over 6 years in research, engineering and campaign management (not-for-profit). In her most recent role at UL, she collaborated with senior leadership to deliver national and international campaigns for public safety focusing on advocacy, education and awareness. She managed campaigns targeting diverse stakeholders including industry leaders, regulatory and government bodies and mass media consumers. The campaigns enabled dialogues between the Ministries of Government of India and leaders from the industry and academia towards solving challenges in the safety Industry. She grew up in a family that strongly believes in recycling, and eliminating waste and has tried to follow through professionally and personally. During her undergraduate studies, she and her team investigated methods of secondary recycling of polyolefins films, and went onto work on regrind and recycled materials at her time at UL. Her love for wildlife and living a sustainable life led her to drive multiple initiatives in her local community to educate and enable environment sustainability. She organized and volunteered in cleaning drives in her neighborhood and was a part of the local community that enabled reviving a dying lake as a result of illegal waste disposal. She also conducted awareness programs in the local community encouraging segregated waste disposal in an appropriate fashion. These initiatives coupled with efforts from local government have led to a thriving lake restoring the ecosystem for local and migratory birds alike.
