Emily Javedan

Emily grew up in Southwest Florida, a home that she cites as the spark of her passion and curiosity about the environment. A recent graduate of Johns Hopkins University, she earned her BS in Environmental Science with a minor in Psychology with honors. In her time at Johns Hopkins, Emily was the captain of the Women’s Tennis team and the President of the school’s chapter of Sigma Gamma Epsilon – the National Earth Sciences Honor Society. These roles earned her the honor of being named one of the Omicron Delta Kappa (the collegiate leadership honor society) National Leaders of the Year, and being selected for the Johns Hopkins Responsible Leadership award. An avid lover of the outdoors, Emily finds herself hiking, skiing, or swimming in her free time. She is deeply passionate about the Earth and sustainability, and joined the MS-ESM program to enhance her skills in sustainable business principles. She hopes to one day make an impact in the world of corporate sustainability, and her interests take on a wide range of topics – anything from plastic waste reduction, to clean water access, to renewable energy.
