Elizabeth (Liza) is originally from Athens, Greece while she was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a minor’s degree in Information Technology from Deree – The American College of Greece. During her undergraduate studies she worked in various jobs and spend some time in Spain during an exchange program. Following her graduation, she started her official career as an Account Executive at V+O Communication, a global Public Relations and Communications Agency, holding key accounts which have sustainability initiatives very high in their corporate agenda, such as: The Coca-Cola Company in Greece. She then decided to return to her country of birth to pursue a career in Sustainability as she firmly believes that our future as a society depends on the decisions we make today for the environment. While in Georgetown, through the MS-ESM program Liza aims to be able to fathom the economic and financial aspect of sustainability and cultivate the appropriate skills and management methods that make feasible for an organization to work sustainably. She really looks forward to obtain the knowledge required to move innovation forward and ultimately contribute to a more sustainable footprint.
