Johanna is a recent 2023 graduate of Northwestern University where she majored in environmental science and minored in business. During her time at Northwestern University, she also played on the varsity women’s lacrosse team for 4 years and recently won a National Championship in the spring of 2023. While pursuing Georgetown University’s Environmental and Sustainability Management Master’s degree this year, she will also be an active member of Georgetown’s varsity women’s lacrosse team. Most recently, Johanna worked in London as a sustainability intern for Tortoise Ecofin Investments, an investment firm that primarily invests in clean energy processes and contributing energy components. With this internship, she was introduced to renewable energy and clean energy investing and development. Johanna hopes to pursue a career within the energy industry while continuing to learn about how to improve current energy processes and how to effectively encourage the transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy production and usage. With her educational background, she is thrilled to be a part of the Environmental and Sustainability Management Master’s program at Georgetown University. She is passionate to learn more about how science and sustainability can work together with business to impactfully create a better more sustainable future.
