Jessica is from Taipei, Taiwan. She graduated from Waseda University with a BA in Political Science and Economics in 2019, during which she also completed a one-year exchange program at UC Berkeley. Prior to joining the MS-ESM Program, she worked in Tokyo for two and half years at one of the Big Four consulting firms as a management consultant, where she worked on various projects including the planning of IT strategies and implementation of a content management solution. Working as a management consultant, she predominantly served clients in the consumer product space. Despite the known reputation the industry has for creating waste, she noticed that a lot of resources were spent on digital transformation and technology aspects of companies rather than environmental concerns. She has since decided to shift her career focus around the environment and hopes to integrate sustainability within business operations.
